Some Deist pray and some Deist don't pray. It is an individual decision for the practicing Deist. Just as whether to pray or not is an individual decision for Deists, so is how a Deist prays. Some pray by mediating. Some pray just by finding wonder and awe in the universe. Some Deists who pray, like to just give prayers of thanks and appreciation, or prayers that help us to think about and find awe in our world. This section is devoted to those Deists that like to pray out loud and in public. Having some example prayers is not the same as having prescribed prayers. In some cases, the practicing Deist might want to memorize a particular prayer word for word. In other cases, just getting the gist of the prayer is enough.

   This section is also for Deists who want something to refer to when they are asked to give a prayer in public. As different occasions require different dress, than too we require different prayers for different occasions. This section will help us to find and/or make appropriate prayers for the differing situations we may find ourselves in.
